Meg Jane
Hello, hello! I’m Meg, the Social Media Manager, content creator, and gal behind The Social Plot. My journey to social media started far from here, but it’s proof that messy action and hard work pay off.
My Pivot
Back in 2017, I was knee-deep in an Accounting & Finance Degree at the University of Bath, only to realise that spreadsheets were not my thing. So, I started blogging and experimenting with content creation as a creative outlet - and it just clicked.
Baker to Biz Owner
Fast forward to graduation, my partner and I launched a bakery in lockdown. With no physical shop, social media became the tool to get our name out there! In 2.5 years we:
Built a loyal following on TikTok and Instagram (over 25k)
Sold out on donut deliveries 5 x days a week
Hosted pop-ups with queues so long, we made the local paper
Won Best New Business in Bath - all at the age of 23
Building The Social Plot
Burnt out but inspired, I realised I wanted to help brands struggling with social media overwhelm. Enter The Social Plot. Since then, I’ve:
Grown a community of 50K creatives
Sold over 1,000 copies of my content calendar
Helped students monthly through my course
And yes, I’m still voice-noting advice in my DMs - because I genuinely love what I do
